Little Dragons Our Little Dragons program is
age-specific curriculum that has been developed to teach young
children in a fun and exciting way.
This 30 minute class, held twice a week, encourages physical
exercise and assists with coordination.
As a student in this program, your child will quickly develop
higher levels of concentration and self-confidence. They will
become better listeners at home and at school.

Youth
Beginners Classes
The Youth Beginners class is tailored for children between
the ages of 5 to 12. In this system your child will learn the
essential fundamentals of self-defense, basic karate moves and
kicking.
Your child will learn important ideas about self awareness,
safety and dealing with bullies.

MMA Kids
Fitness
This exciting class is fun, challenging and SAFE. It is
designed to get kids into great shape and help keep them that
way. Our instructors will have them kicking, punching bags,
training in ground grappling and learning techniques of mixed
martial arts.
The kids will have so much fun that they won’t even know that
they are getting into shape, gaining flexibility, strength,
stamina, and hand and foot coordination.

Teen Classes
Teenagers are taught with the Adult Evening Class. This class
offers the same curriculum, but is only an hour long so that the
your teen is not out too late on a school night.

Parent-Child Classes
Studies have shown that Martial Arts can help make families
stronger. Our school is great for families because everyone
learns together.
Your kids will love learning new techniques and training with
you. You will enjoy the special time and everlasting memories
with your child.

Adult Day and Night Classes
The Adult Classes are for those who are 16+. They are
tailored to teach the art of self-defense, grappling, sparring,
self-awareness and increase physical endurance.
Unlike other schools of martial arts, this system also
teaches Pressure Points from the Dillman Method of fighting.
Students are tutored in the science of Qi (energy) and how to
use that energy for healing or for self defense.
This class has a wide variety of students of all occupations
and of all ages. Day and evening classes are offered to meet any
individual’s busy schedule.

Basic Training
Basic Training is very similar to boot camp training in the
military. Boot camp workouts are efficient because you work your
entire body by going from one intensive exercise to another.
The workouts involve calisthenics like pushups, jumping
jacks, crunches, punching and kicking on punching bags and other
body weight exercises...the difference lies in the intensity and
you learn how to protect yourself at the same time.
You work, you sweat, you learn and best of all, you burn
calories like crazy.

Modern Arnis
Class
Arnis is one of the most effective forms of self defense in
the world. Not only are students trained to defend themselves
against armed or unarmed encounters, but they are highly skilled
at countering their opponents attacks at every angle.
The late Grandmaster Remy Presas was a national champion from
the Philippines who brought his skill and vision of the art to
the United States in 1975. He revitalized Modern Arnis by
combining aspects of single and double stick, knife, sword,
empty hand, trapping, locks and throws, and ground fighting.
Known around the world as a master innovator, Grandmaster Presas
was inducted into the Black Belt Hall of Fame in 1982 as
Instructor of the Year and again in 1994 as Black Belt Weapon
Instructor of the year.
In 2000, Grandmaster Presas granted the title, Master of
Tapi-Tapi to only a few individuals whom he felt reached the
highest level of proficiency in the art of Modern Arnis. Master
Ken Smith Islanders Karate is one of them.

Modern Arnis De Mano Class
Modern Arnis de Mano class is the brain child of Master Ken
Smith. Modern Arnis de Mano is a combination of all of Master
Smith’s training; Isshinryu Karate, Modern Arnis and Pressure
Point Fighting. With his vast expanse of knowledge, Master Smith
has incorporated all aspects of those arts to make it a well
rounded system of self-defense.

M.A.T.S.
M.A.T.S. (Modern Arnis Training Systems) is a program
designed to be both a certification system for instructors and a
belt ranking system for their students.
